Published 10:25 am Wednesday, September 15, 2021 The Butler County Sheriff’s Office worked alongside the Covington County Sheriff’s Office to apprehend a suspect with warrants in both counties.According to reports, the Covington County Incident Response Team and the Butler and Covington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call north of Red Level, just inside Conecuh County.Michael Dewayne Brogden, who had warrants from Butler County and misdemeanor warrants from Covington County, was hunkered down in his camper and refused to respond to law enforcement requests to come to the door. Unfortunately, IRTS attempts were unsuccessful.Minutes later, tear gas was administered. Brogden became cooperative, and an arrest finally occurred.
