Thanks, some of my first creations whilst learning to build there. My technique and opinions on construction have evolved quite a bit since then.I never build a stave shell now without proper re-rings, I steam bend them and then machine then into a flush fit inside the shell. This really makes things strong, and the construction is so much different than a ply shell. No desire to own a ply snare anymore.This 13X7 Spalted Bubinga has become my favourite go to snare. This snare so far has worked flawlessly in any setting I have put it in.
