There was also a flash version that is included in the official Disney website[1].Storyline[edit]In the version of the promotional arcade, as in the introduction of the movie Wreck-It Ralph, the game is based on the land of Niceland. It starts when Ralph goes to sleep on a stump, but is suddenly moved to the dump, when Ralph wakes up, is aware and is enraged at having moved his stump. In the area where the stump was moved, the construction of the Nicelanders apartment begins and when the construction is finished, the Nicelanders arrive to make a residence in the newly built apartment. Then Ralph arrives enraged and is willing to break the building, smashing the windows while climbing and throwing Gene, the Mayor, into the air. When Ralph arrives at the fourth floor, the Nicelanders ask Fix-It Felix for help to repair the damage caused by Ralph, and he arrives saying his phrase "I Can Fix It!".At the end of each level, Felix is rewarded with a gold medal and a cake, while Ralph is thrown into the mud puddle.Game Prototype[edit]The prototype of the game was shown at the 2011 D23 Expo, showing that video games were going to be the theme of the movie Wreck-It Ralph.Homebrew Versions[edit]Due to the great success of the movie, several versions of the game have been developed, none of them official. In 2014, Airwalk Studios made a version for the Genesis/Mega Drive; only twenty-five cartridges have been distributed. A version for the Atari 2600 called "Fix-It Felix Sr." was also developed[2].Trivia[edit]The game is inspired by Donkey KongIn the games of Disney Infinity 2.0 & 3.0 the cabin of the game appears. In the film, the video game is represented as an arcade game created during the golden age of arcade video games. The game could be purchased from eBay along with its cabin[3].At Comic-Con San Diego 2012, two artificially aged game consoles were made available for play in the video arcade 'Tilt' in the Horton Plaza shopping centre.[4].References[edit]↑ "Lol.Disney: Wreck-It Ralph: Fix-It Felix Jr". 2025-03-31"Ladies and gentlemen, we're... out of order!"―GeneGene is a character from the game Fix-It Felix, Jr. and a minor antagonist in Wreck-It Ralph.Official Bio[]Gene: Pint-Sized Party Planner"Gene is the blocky, pint-sized leader of the Nicelanders—the window-filling victims of Ralph's destruction in the game Fix-It Felix Jr. Like his fellow apartment residents in peril, Gene worships Felix and despises Ralph. In his spare time, Gene plans cocktail parties, but is always sure to leave Ralph off the guest list: To Gene, Ralph's just a bad guy and that's all he'll ever be."Official Stats[]Size - 2%Party Planning - 90%Friendliness - 45%Felix Fan - 100%Appearance[]Gene is a short, stout mustached man with fair skin and short black hair. He typically wears an indigo cardigan over a white suit, but wore a formal white outfit at the 30th anniversary party. Like other Nicelanders, he is characterized by his chubby, square-shaped form and proportions.Personality[]Gene is antagonistic, aggressive, pushy, and outspoken. He carries a heavy grudge against Ralph, and strongly believes that his role, and by extension the role of any arcade villain, is simply to cause trouble, and consistently antagonizes him and excludes him from activities, including the 30th anniversary for Fix-It Felix Jr. His endless animosity would eventually result in Ralph's impulsive departure, kickstarting most of the events in the first film. He retains this even as he understood the consequences of Ralph's absence, but eventually came to accept Ralph as an integral element of their game.In nearly every scene where Gene appears, he is shown to be holding a cocktail glass which could imply that he is a frequent drinker. Quotes[]"Now you're just being ridiculous; only good guys win medals, and you, sir, are no good guy!""Ladies and Gentlemen, we're... out of order!""If you won a medal, we'll let you live up here in the penthouse. But it will never happen, because you're just the bad guy who wrecks the building.""Never let it be said that I am not a man of my word.""Yes, you are.""Well, now you can live alone in the penthouse.""It's too late, Ralph. Litwak's pulling our plug in the morning."Trivia[]Gene is the mayor of Niceland.Mayor Gene is played by Raymond S. Persi, who also did the voice of Cyril the Zombie. It is heavily implied that Gene is a carouser. He and the ringmaster from Dumbo share many physical similarities. Gene is one of the guests at Felix and Sergeant Calhoun's wedding, and is sitting in the front pew.Gene was initially assumed to be the movie's main antagonist until Turbo's appearence.Gene is one of only two characters (the other being Vanellope) to not call Ralph by the title "Wreck-It Ralph".Gallery[]Wreck-It Ralph Wiki has a gallery for GeneVideos[] Wreck-It Ralph - Gene Test
2025-03-27I still remember how good Wreck it Ralph was, a cartoon which follows the journey of a villain from an old 1980’s arcade game that at the time in reality never actually existed. Well not until a real online, a mobile based game, a homebrew Sega Genesis emulated version, a Commodore Amiga and C64 version came about anyway! Well it's the C64 version that is getting a mention today, as we have just found out that the 2020 hit game by Antonio Savona, Ste86, and Saul Cross has been updated with a very special 1.1 release!Yes indeed if you enjoyed the game when it was released some time ago, or if you completely missed out. You'll be pleased to know that the game has not only been updated with support for Easyflash, but a Hiscore save feature, different digi upon clearing a building, a game over digi, new character animations in the menu screen, some in-game graphics improvements, visual glitch fixes, and fixed flickering in the cutscenes on certain systems. So yes if you have a Commodore 64, now's the time to play the update of Fix it Felix Jr!Links :1) Source 2) Review
