Last time I was in Rome, I was mesmerized by the grandeur of the Colosseum. The sun was just right, the sky was clear, and everything was perfect — until I noticed a couple of selfie sticks making their way into my shot. Ugh. Not only was I left with an image that wasn’t as majestic as I’d hoped, but the selfie sticks made it feel like a tourist trap. I found myself thinking, “Why not just cut out that bit and keep the beauty of the Colosseum?” That’s when I realized how useful it could be to isolate certain fragments of a photo and remove anything distracting.I’ve also come across my fair share of photos where the shot was almost perfect, but something just didn’t work. I remember browsing through my travel photos and finding several shots of a beautiful lighthouse I’d seen during a road trip. The problem? I had snapped the photo from the window of a car, so the image was filled with reflections and a blurry frame, like the one below. Not quite the breathtaking shot I had imagined. Then it hit me: why not just cut out that part of the image? And guess what? That’s exactly what I did, and I ended up with a photo I actually wanted to share. So, what’s the easiest way to improve your pictures? In this article, I’m going to show you how to cut out an image from your travel photo using PhotoWorks — a photo editor that’s

Location shook the lighthouse so wildly the light would extinguish so the structure was reinforced with braces. The lighthouse keepers’ cottages are also still there and great relics of a time gone by. The island itself lives up to its strange name with spectacular caves and structures. Native Americans believed an evil spirit was imprisoned here hence the name. If you have your own boat or Kayak you can visit the island and there is a dock on the southern side about a mile from the lighthouse. There are also tours here some passing by the lighthouse from afar but some do go to the island. The lighthouse is staffed in the summer months and you can visit and climb the tower. The island is completely wild so make sure you bring all you need and don’t expect amenities here. If you can, visit this island in the Great Lakes it is worth it. Wind Point LighthouseFour miles north of Racine in Wind Point Village is Wind Point lighthouse. This historical and beautiful lighthouse is still in operation which is surprising considering it dates from 1880. It’s one of the tallest lighthouses on Lake Michigan with a tower height of 108 feet. There is also a keeper’s cottage. The Village of Wind Point is responsible for the care of the Lighthouse and the grounds surrounding it and the coast guard care for the light. The grounds and lakefront surrounding the lighthouse are beautiful and the tower opens one day a month for visits so check dates and book in advance. To the small eating area (not the stairs – it will be the second entrance on the left) is Birdsong (8/10). Continue towards the building behind the Dumbo ride and on the ground just left of the building is Hidden Mickey (11/23). Go to the ride entrance and ride it (You Must Be This Tall 1/5). This is not one of the attractions; it’s a classic ride where you see what the ride would actually look like if you rode it in real life. Continue past the ride entrance and look over the fence into the Dumbo ride. There is a puddle on the ground in the shape of a Hidden Mickey (12/23).You should be behind Pinocchio now. Directly opposite of Pinocchio is a large hedge with a not so Hidden Mickey (13/23) carved into the side. To the right is a Photo Pass (6/21) by the large tea cup. On your left is Monstro the whale. Use your wand to collect the Shell (6/10) directly in front of him and Birdsong (9/10) on the railing a bit further right. Monstro also has a Photo Pass (7/21) and Photo Pass (8/21).Turn around and look towards the Mad Hatter. Directly in front of him is Golden Scarab (6/7). Look high on the corner of the building opposite the Mad Hatter to see Duffy Bear (5/10) you can collect with your wand. Ride the Tea Cups ride (You Must Be This Tall 2/5).Keep left of the Teacup ride. Ahead is a lighthouse and on the small building attached to the lighthouse is Hidden Mickey (14/23). Follow the small path on the left. On the right side is Gooseberries (7/10). At the end of the path is a Photo Pass (9/21).Back at the main path and continue towards a Photo Pass (10/21) of the teacups. Just inside the small area behind the photo pass is a Hidden Mickey (15/23) on the ground. You might find yourself taking that picture accidentally while trying to take the photo pass picture.Turn around and look for a small shop behind a food cart. Leaning against the shop on the other side is DVD (5/10). Across the road from this shop is a small, square building. On the counter of this building is a Clothes Bag (7/10). Cross the street again and look for a churro cart (sort of near the Queen of Hearts). On that cart is a Honey Pot (7/10). Make another diagonal crossing of the road to an ice cream cart to find Toffee Apple (7/10).Go past the White Rabbit to a round store. On the counter is a Duffy Bear (6/10) that requires your wand to fetch. On the other side is a Power.
