Realtek not detecting headset - Microsoft Community

Hi,After updating to Adrenaline 19.1.1, my ReLive does not record any audio at all while having my default audio playback set on my headset. It seems to only work when I am using a default playback setting with a "AMD High Definition Audio Device" such as my TV plugged to my GPU. Any other devices using the Realtek HD Audio such as my headset or my speakers while not work with ReLive. Recording microphone audio does not work as well.Everything was working fine until I updated to 19.1.1 or higher. I tried changing a few settings in the Global tab or the recording tab like trying different audio capture device or separating microphone track, etc. In my opinion, it has to do with AMD HD audio driver and Realtek Audio drivers. Specs:i7-7700kZ270 MSI Gaming pro carbonAMD RX 480I have 3 monitors and 1 TV plugged on my GPU.I have Realtek HD audio drivers installed as well. Device Manager: Thank you.

Improve the site. How satisfied are you with this reply? Thanks for your feedback. Hi,I was able to get some screen shots that may help and the name of the headset I am using. The suggestions did not work and I think I did not provide the correct information so I got some screen shots that may help and the name of the headset I am using. I am using the "Turtle Beach Recon 50x" headset with the detachable mic. This is a virtual representation on the audio jacks on the physical computer, I only use the two bottom ones mainly the highlighted pink one which is the Headphone jack and the green one above it is the mic input. I plug my headset into the pink one which will become where the audio output plays. I think because of that, it does not recognize the detachable headset mic and only recognizes headset as an audio output. Here is a list in the device manager in the "Audio input and output" dropdown with the view mode "Show hidden devices" on/selected. The devices with the "Steam Streaming" title in them I don't use. The pink audio jack from the previous image is represented as "Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio)" which is the jack I plug my headset into.If you need any more Information please let me know because I think I finally got all the info up. Realtek Headset swap to Speakers - Microsoft Community

Downgraded the BIOS to 1.4.2 but it didn't change.I had some luck with going into add/remove programs and removing the Realtek audio entry that shows up in there. It left the actual driver behind, but for whatever reason, doing that meant I could plug/unplug the headset and it would play audio over the headphones just fine.Still no microphone from the headset though. Then I started looking at the ungainly Waves MaxxAudio program that gets installed. For some reason, when you "install" that, it just takes you to the Windows Store where you actually install the app. Yuck. I did all that and I still don't get the box that pops up when you plug in a headset that asks "Which device did you plug in?" like it does on the 5x80 and 5x90 Latitude laptops. That's what I expect to see on this 5400, so I can select if it's headphones or a headset, earbuds, on-ear, or over-ear, etc. But I still don't get that on this 5400 (using the same headset between my laptop models, so I know they're functioning headsets).I'm inclined to think it has something to do with the MaxxAudio software and not the Realtek drivers. That dialog box that appears on the 5x80/5x90 laptops shows up as "MaxxAudioPro Jack - 6". Maybe that particular component of the MaxxAudio software is simply missing on the 5400?EDIT: I don't see the same "C:\Program Files\Waves" folder on the 5400 that does show up on my 5580, for example. The Waves app on the 5400, being a Store app, runs differently, so I think it does boil down to the peculiar decision by Dell and/or Waves to switch over to a Store app on the 5x00 models. Either something's missing, or something isn't being installed correctly. But if we can't properly install that app during our imaging process, then that's not good. We can't ask each user to go into the Store and install it themselves (plus, when I did that, it still didn't work, so something else is happening).

Since I bought this motherboard, I haven't been able to get the audio to work properly if at all. I can get one output device to work and that is it. Even that seems to be messed up. This is the first and only motherboard that under no circumstance I could get the audio to work Correctly. I have tried both the MSI realtek with the vile nahimic and the offficial realtek drivers. No component in use is of fault considering it works on any and all other computers. The front panel mic will not work period. It will either just play static sound, play all output such as if I was trying to talk with someone, everything they would say, would register as though they were saying t on my mic. I tried using other mic devices as well. I could use a webcamera that has a built in mic, however..... only 2 seconds of audio would register for the input while the rest would get cut off. Tried using a headset through a wireless controller. The wireless controller. Same issue. Can only make 2 seconds of sound before it would cut off. Can't increase the output volume to where I would be able to hear anything properly. All sound is too low. Audio will also only play through one speaker regardless of it being on mono or stereo. I have all ports separated. I tried many troubleshooting steps. Including disabling everything but the mic and so on, to
