When the keyboard/mouse are frozen InstallationHow do I download Wubi?Download Wubi from the Ubuntu Windows Installer cdimages page; this will download the latest version. You can download other versions from the Ubuntu pages on releases.ubuntu.com, e.g. 12.10, look for wubi.exe at the bottom of the page. Wubi is also included on Ubuntu Desktop and Kubuntu CDs. How do I install Ubuntu?Run Wubi, insert a password for the new account, adjust other settings such as the disk space, and click "install". The installation process from this point on is fully automatic. The installation files (approximately 700MB) will be downloaded and checked, after which you will be asked to reboot. Do so and select Ubuntu at the boot screen. The installation will continue for another 10 to 15 minutes and the machine will reboot again. That's it. Now you can select Ubuntu at the boot screen and start using it. The standard installation has default settings that should work on most hardware. How do I select whether to run Windows or Ubuntu? You can choose to run Windows or Ubuntu at the system boot screen. How do I install Wubi on a machine with no Internet connection?Wubi also works with physical Ubuntu Desktop Live CDs. Wubi.exe is available in the root folder of the CD. If you do not have a CD, try to find a computer with Internet access, and download both Wubi.exe and the required Desktop ISO from the same location (the release has to match): For 12.10 use For 12.04 use For 11.10 use For 10.04 use Copy both files into the same folder on the machine with no Internet access and run the Wubi executable. Where do I find older versions of Wubi?Older versions of Wubi can be found on the SourceForge page. How can I use a manually downloaded ISO?You need to download the DESKTOP CD ISO of the appropriate version. Place the ISO in the same folder where you have wubi.exe and then run Wubi. For example, Wubi 11.10 requires the 11.10 DESKTOP ISO, available here. Note that you need a DESKTOP CD ISO. A DVD ISO may not work (except for Edubuntu). Alternate ISO files are not supported. Why is the AMD64 version of Ubuntu being downloaded and installed? The machine you are trying to install Ubuntu on is 64 bit. The AMD64 installation is appropriate for all 64 bit architectures, no matter if they are AMD or Intel. Can I force Wubi to download and install a 32 bit version of Ubuntu?Yes. Either pre-download the appropriate 32 bit ISO manually and place it in the same folder as Wubi.exe or start Wubi from the command prompt with the "--32bit" argument. To modify arguments without using the command prompt, right-click Wubi.exe and select "Create Shortcut". Then right-click the shortcut, select Properties, and modify the Target line, for example: "C:\Documents and Settings\\Desktop\wubi.exe" --32bit Can I force Wubi to install if I have less than 256MB of memory?Yes. start Wubi with the argument "--skipmemorycheck". The installer may not work. Install SF Pro font in Ubuntu 20 04/18 04 Gnome Tweak Tool Download CatLight. Creating and installing Multiple Distros in to USB / Pendrive involves two parts:-Creating Multiple Live distro Using Multicd.sh. From the link:"After googling around for few days i found this useful script from www.multicd.tuxfamily.org. Multicd.sh is a shell script written by maybeway36 which enables two or more Live Linux distros / utilities to be able to boot from single CD/DVD. It is really very simple to create multi Live Linux distro in a single disc. Create a folder in your home folder and name it as multicd. Put all the live Linux iso images along with multicd.sh script inside multicd folder. Close the window. Open terminal and give the following commandscd multicdchmod +x multicd*.shsudo ./multicd*.shAbove commands will execute multicd.sh. While executing, this script will download few packages from Internet and make a new iso image called multicd.iso for you inside multicd folder. Check the size of multicd.iso image file. If it exceeds more than 700 mb then you must insert DVD to write it. Choose burn image option from your favorite image burning software to write multicd.iso file. Upon reboot, with the CD/DVD present inside CD/DVD drive, new GRUB will display list of live distros available in the disc. Choose your favorite one to login...Note: When you download any Linux iso image from internet it will look like this "ubuntu-9.04-desktop-i386" but this has to be renamed as ubuntu.iso (inside multicd folder). Presently this script supports 20 live distros. List of Live Linux distros supported in this script are given below (and the names accepted by this script are on the right side of each distro)."There's a list of distro's on the blog page.Installing Multiple Live distro in to a USB / Pendrive.UNetbootin allows you to create bootable Live USB drives for Ubuntu, Fedora, and other Linux distributions without burning a CD. It runs on Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X. You can either let UNetbootin download one of the many distributions supported out-of-the-box for you, or supply your own Linux .iso file if you've already downloaded one or your preferred distribution isn't on the list.Support amongst others: Ubuntu (and official derivatives)

The installer may not work
