In mid-August, Willow Smith stepped out with straight-back cornrows that featured two face-framing braids that fell forward toward her chest. We've been loving her recent braided styles like those cornrows and the braided sideburns she wore at the end of June. For fall, Smith has an entirely new look: a braided bob that makes her look like her mother's twin. Decked out in a Moncler jacket, Smith attended the Moncler x Pharrell Williams collection launch on September 20. She wore box braids with a middle part and one side tucked behind her ears. The blunt ends of these small braids just past her chin. Smith paired her braided bob with black eyeliner and dark lipstick. You can see black liner on her lower lash line extending past her inner corner into a sharp point, accentuating her eyes. Pinkett-Smith, who played Lida “Stony” Newsom, also had a braided bob that nearly grazed her collarbones, but unlike her daughter's, Pinkett-Smtih's were curled under at the ends. The pair linked up to discuss the struggles of fame, growing up with celebrity fathers, self-harm, sex, love, mental health, and resilience on Wednesday's episode of Facebook Watch's Red Table Talk, which culminated in the duo carrying over the mutual inspiration they found in each other into the studio to record a new song. As the interview ended, Jackson told Smith she'd love to help her lay down "backup vocals on a song," if she ever needed it. Smith immediately jumped at the idea, asking: "What are you doing after this? Should we just go to the studio?"
